NORO

Founded in Japan by Eisaku Noro in the early 1980s, NORO yarns are made with minimal processing, making NORO a yarn like no other. All the animal fibers used in Noro yarns come from certified organic farms from producers in Australia, the Falkland Islands, and South Africa and are dyed first, then spun on traditional machinery that minimizes processing. That shorter process can create unique and sometimes uneven qualities with unexpected bold color gradients that mimic nature  in a way only a single-ply yarn can create. The irregularity in the uneven yarns aligns with the “Wabi-Sabi” aesthetic – simplied as “finding beauty in imperfection.” The feel, the uneven texture, and occasional random knots disrupt perfection, but that imperfection will turn your knit projects into art.
