(“Pascuali yarns are created for people who value high quality.”) Based in Germany, Pascuali strives to create top quality natural yarn using environmentally friendly methods that meet fair trade standards by giving support to small farms and farmers in developing countries. In 2008 they began with a mulesing-free Merino wool and since then have expanded to source their rare fibers from animal raised in environments best suited to their breeds: vicuña from Peru, cashmere from Mongolia, llamas in Argentina, alpacas in Peru, musk ox in Alaska, cashmere goats in Mongolia, and merino sheep in Patagonia. Their portfolio has expanded to include other animal fibers like qiviut and yak as well as vegan fibers such as bamboo, corn, and nettles.
