Baa Ram Ewe Yarn is grown in the UK by British farmers that adhere to strict ethical standards and is graded by hand by the British Wool Board. It is then scoured, spun and dyed in the UK, with a small amount dyed by specialist dyers in Europe.
Coast, Aran yarn is the original 100% wool yarn traditionally used to knit cable sweaters in coastal regions of Britain and Ireland, with the Irish island of Aran giving it its name. Aran yarn has always been worsted spun and hank dyed.
Coast follows these traditional methods with an additional organic based softener that’s applied after dying.
The shades in this range are inspired by fishermen and the coastline. Look at their names!
