Join us again for a full day of fiber arts, comradery and creative exchange here in Three Oaks, Michigan. This day focuses on Fall Projects: from color work to garland making. Get inspired, learn new tricks, and meet fellow addicts!

Workshops & Teachers

Maggie Tinks is a mother and a knitter teaching private lessons and group classes in Chicago. She loves knitting socks and considers herself a monogamous knitter. At Day Camp, she will teach us colorwork by making a super cool cozy. 

Barbara Englebert is a friend of the Yarn Haus, an avid knitter and crocheter who has taught classes here before.This time, she wants to share one of her favorite techniques: mosaic knitting. We adore her unabashed sense of color and this will be fun!

Rosemarie Skow a.k.a. “The Viking,” will continue teaching her “Inner Child Method” of creating garments out of scrap yarn focused on not following a rigid pattern but to knit out your feelings and going freestyle. Because that’s the Danish way. 

Chris Hadaway is a Michiana fiber artist. From weaving, felting, spinning, and sewing to knitting to embroidery—she does it all. For Day Camp, we asked her to get whimsical and teach us how to knit little treasures; leaf garlands, little pumpkins, and mini mushrooms…because ’tis the season!

Beth Weaver is a Grand Rapids Graphic Designer and Fiber Artist showing us her take on granny squares at Day Camp. We are obsessed with the blanket she made out of 437 pieces. Her tip? Make one a day! Beth is also a master dyer and part of the Plied Yarn Co. team. 

Kiki Belloc is multifaceted creative, with a passion for all things fiber. An architect by training and a crocheter by choice. From scrunchies to market bags, let her teach you some new tricks while exploring colors, materials, and constructions.

Kelli Johnson, a knitting addict will be at Day Camp to help you pimp your sweaters. A natural born instigator, her superpower are brave color and material combos and finding the pattern of your dreams. This girl has spunk and style and is here to ignite your imagination.

Liz Vaitkus, we call her “the Doctor,” will run the Minute Clinic at Day Camp. Liz is able to detect just about any knitting mishaps and come up with a diagnosis and treatment plan. Liz teaches Sunday School, Night School, and gives private knitting lessons at the Yarn Haus.

All levels are welcome: from beginners to the experienced knitter and crocheters.

Early bird tickets are $225 per person.

After August 10, the ticket price will be $275 per person. Tickets are not refundable but can be given to a friend!
