Keystone is made in the USA from dead stock acrylic.  What is dead stock you say? 59,000 pounds of acrylic fiber abandoned in their warehouse. This is fiber that would otherwise have gone to waste or ended up in a landfill.

The positive environmental impact of this yarn is furthered by using raw fiber from other yarn processing.  Dyeing raw fiber is just one step in the multi part process of manufacturing Germantown. By blending the same wool that is used in Germantown with the deadstock acrylic, Kelbourne are expanding the use of the fiber, which in turn, reduces waste and increases supply chain efficiency.
